Tip of the iceberg

Sometimes reading a blog might get boring -- so please click on the song above...as you read my blog...

This is a master piece from Owl City ( My latest addiction) -

Welcome back, Winter once again,
And put on your warm fuzzy sweater,
Cuz you'll feel much better when
The snowflakes fall, gently to the ground.

We are all born to enjoy the pleasures of life. .be it the best beats in music, or meeting really wonderful people, or travelling to the best places on earth - lots of things gives us immense happiness.... However a subtle difference between the list of things to do remain as a fact that some are naturally available and some are created by men...or women ..

Take for example..

Music, Car, Arts, Dance, television, internet, twitter, facebook, iphone, mac, home theater systems, beautiful homes etc are all man made,

Where as a natural river, the beautiful ocean ridges, sunshine, gorgeous places, or a stream of river and beautiful landscapes are all naturally formed(by other forces of nature)

- There is one common representation among these things - Happiness :: and invoking the joy of life - ! how joyful are you in life? - As you listen to this song - you would realize that Life is meant to feel all the different beautiful things around us - However unfortunately there is a price tag associated with it, to take it from start to finish, we all need money - to eat, to gain shelter and also to enjoy these benefits -

As we take this journey of life, we often wonder why life is created this way - to deal with all the complexities = compete with 30 million species created just like us and 6 billion humans who also share this planet - each person having a different formation (differneces in name, cast creed color, religion, appearance, age, thinking etc) and also feel happy that we are gifted with most wonderful thing on planet earth - Life - !

Vedas, Quran, The Bible and all of these religious texts talk about only one thing - The creator or the God - whether or not we believe in God, we could see that there is one single opinion existing among so many people - that there is one creator who we all originate from, that could have a direct impact to our lives direcctly or indirecctly .. Think of it as a gut feeling(Science is also a gut feeling - So many businesses run on Gut feel - Even scientists experiementing at CERN to identify the GOD particle are sensing that something is still not invented by human kind - GOD -

Feel the bliss - Feel life - Enjoy the song - and color your life..

Ranbeer Kapoor has done a splendid job again in this very fast-moving movie centered around Sidharth(a.k.a. Sid) who is very fun loving and a happy-go-lucky chap not investing energy into serious things in life and just flows in life as a streaming river-

After successful acting in back to back movies like Saawariya and Bachna ye Haseeno - Ranbeer Kapoor has got complete control, great dialogue delivery and screen presence - - Directed by Ayan Mukherji, - new director on the block (used to be an assistant director to Ashutosh Gowarikar for swades) has got great potential in directing some really great films in the future..

Wake up sid centers around two characters - Sid and his joyful fun loving life and Konkana Sen whos keeps doesn't see anything but herself

Barca Vs. LA Galaxy

Its been long pending. I have been wanting to write about my experience at the Rosebowl stadium to see this exciting Game between Barcelona and LA Galaxy.

Let me start the story from the point we got the tickets. Its very strange. I did not have a clue about this game happening until my friend Rakesh a.k.a. Nayar told me about this game. I was in a double mind to go for this game since I had already spent a whopping 100$ for the coldplay concert and to satisfy my greed and give myself some more life at this point - we decided to go for the FRAY concert (blew up another 30$ and a partial disappointment of his voice being vey coarse during the concert) -

OK. Finally - due to multiple emails floating between some of our friends and also due to availability of tickets on Craigslist(Thanks to the security guard - who showed up as the man selling these tickets to us a couple of days before the match) - I got this golden opportunity to witness one of the rarest games in the history - LA Galaxy(with David Beckham) playing an European club. (FC Barcelona)

Till then enjoy this video - Beckahm's free kick is the second - dont miss it...

Joy?

How often do you feel elated and ecstatic in Life?? I experienced the feeling of ecstasy, or "elevated sprit" in life on two occasions over the last two weeks, when I went to a Coldplay concert @ Verizon Amphitheater in Orange County (approximately 30000 people and for a soccer game @ The Rose Bowl stadium(93000 people). Was wondering why can't life alwyas give such feelings of high octane, high adrenaline, all the time 24x7??? Most often we have a lot of ups and downs and highs and lows, guess its required for the body to maintain its balance. More the people merrier it is, Voices of several thousands of people roaring in the stadium gives you so much battery power in life fr that moment that makes you feel all the energy is coming to you. But howveer, these moments are shortlived and you have to get back home after the events are over and be back to what your individual state gives you - could be feelings of loneliness, frustration ,or depression or feelings of joy, happiness or peace whichever phase of life you are currently in.

Most often, changes in life would occur if you seek for a change and go in search of your passions and inner joy.

For us to experience the real joy of something, we might need to put in a lot of effort. For example, for an architect to achieve his dream of building a dream house or a dream structure or a building which is of great value there is a lot of ground work required starting from design to construction to finsih - Its a complete journey which is totally different from what the original dream was. Similarly, a movie script writer or a director, who has a concept in mind, needs to do things which are completely different like, getting the entire crew together, executing each scene by scene, working in the sets with lot of work with people who need to be working on this movie, but the end product is a treat. Also take the case of a music director who needs to work with several technicians, violinists, vocal artists, instrumentalists, and many more bits and pieces to get these

The irony is that the End product is a treat for others to watch it, but not for the original person whose dream it was. Since the kind of thoughts that went into the execution part were totally different, the feel the person gets at the end of the execution is totally different, since there would be 1000 different things that would be on top of his/her mind when the same Concept is thought about, the entire journey of creation comes into the picture. Lots of compromises would have occurred due to time pressure or resource availability or your own mind taking a different shape.

But having lived your dream or having achieved what you wanted, you would be continously involved in something which you would be ready to sacrifice or trade your life for, when you want it badly. At that point, the spirit comes to the top and helps you in performing your 'role' in life. All of us are here for a reason. Our inner thoughts definitely holds the secrets to wheere our lives are going to be leading.

Glass of water

Could not resist to write this one! - One of my all time favourites (Coming from Coldplay - Verizon Amphitheater - not really - but i still feel this way - since I the sound is still resonating in my ears after the concert and I have become a major fanatic of this song and my love for coldplay has increased multifold - not only because they sang - ' Billy Jean ' in memoirs of Michael Jackson, but the level a level of consciousness they must have reached to product such wonderful music and to pull millions of people together to listen to them !!

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

Ever heard of this name? Me neither until I saw one of these books titled:
Finding Flow. The Psychology of Engagement with Everyday Life

I was curious to know what could be inside this book - I was attracted to the title Finding Flow: A very carefully chosen word - Flow is what we expect in life - we expect life to flow, blood to flow, water to flow, air to flow, wind to flow and materials to flow, supply chain to flow -

and my words to flow here so that you can continue to read my blog :) With due respects to the author of this book and the title of this book, I saw the preview of this book at http://books.google.com ( here is the full link -

http://books.google.com/books?id=bzmziLphHMQC&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_hpintrst

Thanks to google for creating previews of millions of books online, which helps in getting a sneak peak at many interesting books that are available in the bookstore.

OK, back to my review on the book - If you are going through a stressful time in your life, I would say that it means that you need to undersand life better so that, we don;'t end up feeling depressed / sad / negative for a prolonged time, for trivial isssues sorrunding us.

This is a very good read and I would recommend it to many people who would like to start thinking rationally about day to day stuff! I have not read the book in its entirety myself, but will give an entire section dedicated to this book review!

GOOGLE WEBELEMENTS

My very first Blog post in this new page ! I have created lots of other blogs and never been satisfied to keep it running forever - I have been exploring Google products offlate and one thing which caught my attention was the Google Webelements.

If any of you are wondering what it is. Here is an example. My address is pointing to this location in this map , yeah I did some HTML programming to bring this thing up from Google's page.

Not true: I picked it straight from Google's page - COPY + PASTE if you are not used to it, that means that you are not working in the Information Technology sector! and saved your Keyboard some stress on those keys!

But this is very simple.

Step 1: Goto: www.google.com/webelements
Step 2: Click on what Google element you would like to show in your HTML page and the codes snippet is present there in those pages.
Step 3: Customize those snippets and you get a variety of google products in your homepage.
Step 4: COPY + PASTE the code in your blog or other HTML code!
Keep listening for more interesting posts.

RIP!
